Save The Park Project Heading to Windsor City Council

Greetings community members,

We’ve reached an important step in making the Miracle Field project a reality. On Monday, April 24, volunteers from Riverside Minor Baseball Association, the Save the Park Committee, as well as a number of supporting organizations, will present our plan to Windsor City Council.

At this meeting we will make our case for the Miracle Field and ask councillors to back the project so we can move onto the next phase, fundraising. We have nearly $500,000 in commitments from a number of supportive citizens, but we need council to support the project in principle.

Residents, business owners, and a number of community organizations will show their support at Council, but we still need your help!

We need to let our elected leaders know that this project is important for the community of Riverside and Windsor as a whole. We need you to call, email, or talk with your Councillor about why we need to Save the Park for future generations!

Click here for a full of Councillor’s email addresses and phone numbers.

We also need to fill Council Chambers with supporters. The meeting begins at 6pm and is open to the public. We welcome any and all supporters to join us at the meeting!

If you’d like to speak directly to the issue, you must sign up as a delegation. To do so,
email by Noon on Friday, April 21.

More details on presenting as a delegation can be found online here.

Please note, you do not need to sign up as a delegation to attend the council meeting.

Thanks for all your support and we hope to see you there!
